Burgrave’s Hall
The Burgrave’s Hall in the third storey of the East Palace maintains its original features. The beam ceiling and the fragmentarily preserved surfaces of the walls with depictions of coats of arms date from the 13th and 14th centuries. In the Middle Ages the East Palace included the bowers or boudoirs, the heated apartments set aside for the ruler’s family. The centrepiece is a green-glazed tiled stove with reliefs, dating from the 15th century, purchased on the open art market.
Nowadays the Burgrave’s Hall is used for conferences and meetings. The room can be hired on application.
