itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Fritz von Herzmanovsky-Orlando, \u00f6sterreichischer Schriftsteller und Zeichner, wurde am 30. April 1877 als Friedrich Josef Franz Ritter von Herzmanowsky in Wien geboren. Nach dem Besuch des Humanistischen Gymnasiums absolvierte er 1896-1903 ein Hochbaustudium an der Wiener Technischen Hochschule. Innerhalb der folgenden eineinhalb Jahre lernte er seinen dann lebenslangen Freund Alfred Kubin kennen und fand in M\u00fcnchen Anschluss an den Kreis der \u201eKosmiker\u201c um Karl Wolfskehl, Ludwig Klages und Alfred Schuler. Herzmanovsky-Orlando arbeitete 1904\/05 als Angestellter, danach als selbst\u00e4ndiger Architekt. 1911\/12 gab er wegen schmerzhafter chronischer Nierentuberkulose seinen Beruf auf. Da er von Haus aus finanziell unabh\u00e4ngig war, lebte er von da an als Privatier f\u00fcr die Kunst, zeichnete, sammelte, restaurierte und schrieb. 1916 \u00fcbersiedelte er krankheitshalber in das bis 1918 \u00f6sterreichische Meran. Durch den Anschluss \u00d6sterreichs ans Deutsche Reich 1938 deutscher Staatsb\u00fcrger geworden, zwang die Optionsvereinbarung Herzmanovsky-Orlando, S\u00fcdtirol 1940 zu verlassen. Da er krankheitsbedingt nicht n\u00f6rdlich der Alpen leben konnte, zog er nach Malcesine am Gardasee. Erst 1949 kehrte er nach Meran zur\u00fcck und lebte dort bis zu seinem Tod 1954 auf Schloss Rametz.<\/p>\n<p>Der \u201eanarchische Chronist\u201c Alt\u00f6sterreichs konnte zu Lebzeiten nur wenig ver\u00f6ffentlichen, und viele seiner Werke liegen nur in skizzenhafter Form vor. Sein umfangreiches schriftstellerisches Werk, das vorwiegend aus Prosa und Theaterst\u00fccken besteht, brachte ihm den Ruf eines begnadeten, humanistisch fundiert gebildeten Phantasten ein.<\/p>\n<p>Weniger bekannt ist Herzmanovsky-Orlandos bildnerisches Schaffen. Als Schriftsteller anerkannt und popul\u00e4r, ist sein grafisches Werk ein wenig im Schatten geblieben, wie Paul Flora schreibt. Der K\u00fcnstler hat seine Einf\u00e4lle nicht allzu sorgsam und nur f\u00fcr sich auf Kanzleipapier, Briefumschl\u00e4gen, Abrechnungen oder Gesch\u00e4ftsbriefen gezeichnet und diese seri\u00f6sen oder suspekten Unterlagen mit chim\u00e4rischen und erotischen Szenen gef\u00fcllt. Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Ernte hat er dabei in den Jahren 1918 bis 1920 eingebracht, als ihn in Meran \u201eein Bombardement der sonderbarsten Ideen\u201c \u00fcberkam. Auf dieser Irrfahrt ins Surreale geriet er an die seltsamsten Orte, an Quellheiligt\u00fcmer, an die Geheimnisse der Venus, an verwitterte Gedenksteine; er begegnete auf seinen Wegen allerh\u00f6chsten Herrschaften, aus- und inl\u00e4ndischem Adel, Figuren zweifelhafter Provenienz, Abschaum aus der H\u00f6lle und aus dem Reich der T\u00e4uschungen \u2013 und, nach Paul Flora, vielen anderen mehr. Dabei k\u00f6nnte der Sch\u00f6pfer derart komischer, satyrischer und ironischer Bilder leicht untersch\u00e4tzt werden &#8211; seine heiteren Bilder aber sind ernsthafte Themen und ernsthafte Kunstwerke.<\/p>\n<p>Das bildnerische Werk Fritz von Herzmanovsky-Orlandos wird in einer umfangreichen Sonderausstellung Schloss Tirols, welche in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ober\u00f6sterreichischen\u00a0 Landesmuseum Linz und dessen Direktor Dr. Peter Assmann entsteht, der breiten \u00d6ffentlichkeit vorgestellt.<br \/>\nGleichzeitig erscheint eine umfangreiche Begleitpublikation zum zeichnerischen Werk FHO\u2019s, herausgegeben vom Kunstexperten Manfred Kopriva. Jahrhundert <\/h2><div class='av-subheading av-subheading_below'><p>06.07.2012 \u2013 30.11.2012<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-g15uuy-d2e9daf31cb9da8de8a5d73569390e0d '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Zu den Aufgaben eines landesgeschichtlichen Museums, welches sich von Anbeginn seines Bestehens an einer kompromisslosen kulturhistorischen und interdisziplin\u00e4ren Aufarbeitung und Vermittlung der Territorialgeschichte verpflichtet hat, geh\u00f6rt auch das Aufgreifen jener Themen, die aufgrund ihrer politischen Brisanz, ihrer Komplexit\u00e4t und nicht zuletzt der besonderen Schwierigkeit in der Vermittlung ihrer Inhalte von Historikern und Ausstellungsmachern eher gescheut werden. So hat Schloss Tirol in den vergangenen 20 Jahren neben Sonderausstellungen, die mittels markanter Gestalten unserer Kulturgeschichte versucht haben, den Zeitgeist ganzer Epochen heraufzubeschw\u00f6ren, auch eine Reihe von Ausstellungen konzipiert und realisiert, in denen nicht einzelne Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten, nicht einzelne K\u00fcnstler, sondern dramatische Ereignisse, die Geschichte von Randgruppen und Au\u00dfenseitern im Mittelpunkt standen.<\/p>\n<p>Dass man einer ehrlichen Konfrontation mit der wechselvollen Geschichte der j\u00fcdischen Bev\u00f6lkerung Tirols, mit der von Vorurteilen und Verfolgung gepr\u00e4gten Beziehungsgeschichte zur christlichen Bev\u00f6lkerung dieses Landes, aber auch mit jener der vielen erfolgreichen Beitr\u00e4ge in allen Sparten der Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Kultur allzu lange aus dem Weg gegangen ist, war uns schmerzlich bewusst. Deshalb die Tagung im November 2011 auf Schloss Tirol \u201eJ\u00fcdische Lebensgeschichten aus Tirol vom Mittelalter bis in die Gegenwart\u201c. Deshalb das \u00fcbergreifende Projekt zur j\u00fcdischen Geschichte Tirols \u201eShalom Aleichem\u201c in Zusammenarbeit mit der J\u00fcdischen Gemeinde Meran, mit Schloss Runkelstein, dem Touriseum, dem Institut f\u00fcr Zeitgeschichte der Universit\u00e4t Innsbruck, dem J\u00fcdischen Museum Hohenems und den Soir\u00e9en auf Schloss Tirol.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr das Thema der diesj\u00e4hrigen Sonderausstellung mussten wir nicht in die Ferne schweifen: Die Geschichte der J\u00fcdischen Gemeinde Merans mit ihrem vielschichtigen Beziehungsnetz im gesamten Raum des historischen Tirol und weit dar\u00fcber hinaus, mit dem vollen Spektrum an Licht- und Schattenseiten, bot sich als nahezu idealer Einstieg an in die Thematik der j\u00fcdischen Geschichte in ganz Tirol. Wem geh\u00f6ren sie? Warum suchen wir die Begegnung mit ihnen?<\/p>\n<p>Lassen Sie sich auf eine Entdeckungsreise durch Zeit und Raum entf\u00fchren, auf eine Reise durch die Welten der Sommerfrische und des Alpinismus, zu den Tr\u00e4umen von Heimat und Grenz\u00fcberschreitungen, Tradition und neuen Erfahrungen, durch die Widerspr\u00fcche von Integration und j\u00fcdischer Neubesinnung. Hier wurde Zugeh\u00f6rigkeit und Identit\u00e4t erk\u00e4mpft \u2013 und verweigert.<\/p>\n<p>Begegnen Sie j\u00fcdischen Bergsteigern und Sammlern, Pionieren des Skisports und des Tourismus, Bade\u00e4rzten, Forschern und K\u00fcnstlern \u2013 und ihrer Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Berge. Konfrontiert mit Ausgrenzung und Antisemitismus haben viele von ihnen Europa verlassen m\u00fcssen. Die Sehnsucht nach den Alpen haben sie mitgenommen.<\/p>\n<p>Heute sind die Alpen beides: der Treffpunkt gl\u00e4ubiger Juden aus aller Welt und der Ort ganz und gar weltlicher Erfahrungen. Was ist daran j\u00fcdisch? Der Lohn dieser Arbeit sind Objekte und Bilder von einer Glaubw\u00fcrdigkeit und Tiefe, die auch an die Beschreibung hohe Anspr\u00fcche stellen.<\/p>\n<p>Diesen Maler \u00fcber seine Akademielehrer, die Preise und internationale Anerkennung, die Zuordnung zu einer Str\u00f6mung, selbst eine \u00f6rtliche Verankerung legitimieren zu wollen, b\u00f6te reichen Spielraum, w\u00fcrde aber weder seiner Haltung als Maler noch dem Wesen der Arbeiten gerecht. Auch einer noch so qualit\u00e4tvollen und sorgf\u00e4ltigen Abbildung widersetzen sich diese alchemistischen Datentr\u00e4ger widerspenstig. Um ihre chromatische Urkraft zwischen Wassert\u00f6nen und rotem Feuer flie\u00dfen zu lassen, brauchen sie die unmittelbare Seherfahrung, besser noch den haptischen Kontakt. Der sorgsam tastenden Hand erschlie\u00dft sich eine vielschichtig schorfige Struktur, in der puristisch gew\u00e4hlte Materialien wie Marmorstaub, Tempera, Leinen und Inoxstahl sich verbinden zu \u00fcberraschender W\u00e4rme und den Impuls ausl\u00f6sen, sich in tiefere Schichten zu kratzen, um zu verstehen.<\/p>\n<p>Es w\u00e4re jedoch ein Irrtum, den Marmorstaub als Quelle der Faszination zu orten. Seine Verwendung am Ort des Entstehens der Bilder\u00a0 ist stimmig, und doch stellt er nicht mehr als das Terroir f\u00fcr die Komplexit\u00e4t.
