K\u00f6rper als Erinnerungsort<\/p>\n<p>Die international erfolgreiche Fotok\u00fcnstlerin <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brigitteniedermair.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brigitte Niedermair<\/a> zeigt mit der Ausstellung \u201eeccehomo\u201c auf Schloss Tirol Fotoarbeiten zur Gletschermumie \u201e\u00d6tzi\u201c. Sie holt dabei nicht einfach die Schnalser Gletschermumie in den Ausstellungsraum, sondern sie schafft den Sprung von der Wahrnehmung des Realk\u00f6rpers hin zur Bildmachung des menschlichen K\u00f6rpers. Die Titelwahl \u201eeccehomo\u201c kommt von der K\u00fcnstlerin selbst. Damit ist der Fingerzeig auf den K\u00f6rper gerichtet, der als Ged\u00e4chtnisspeicher das gesamte Leben pr\u00e4sent h\u00e4lt, das nachschlagbar wird wie in einem Buch. Der K\u00f6rper dient als Memoria, als biographische Chiffre. In der Kulturgeschichte hat die \u201eBildwerdung des K\u00f6rpers\u201c eine lange Tradition, die weit in das Mittelalter hineinreicht und Wurzeln in der Antike kennt. Gegen das Vergessen menschlicher Biografie wird der bildhafte K\u00f6rper eingesetzt. Besonders ist es die Haut, die als sicht- und tastbarer Ged\u00e4chtnisspeicher des Menschen gilt. An ihr zeichnet sich alles ab, was Biografie wirklich ist und war. Die Haut wird zur Metapher des Biografischen.<\/p>\n<p>Dass der Blick auf den Menschen f\u00e4llt, der keineswegs sichtbare Zeichen des Todes an sich hat, sondern wie im stillgestandenen Augenblick f\u00fcr Jahrtausende gleichbleibt, mag bei Brigitte Niedermair die \u00dcberzeugung gefestigt haben, \u201eAdam\u201c-\u00d6tzi als einzigen Mann im Portr\u00e4t festzuhalten. Kein Portr\u00e4t kann st\u00e4rker sein.<\/p>\n<p>In der Ausstellung umspannt die Fotografie mit dem \u201eMann aus dem Eis\u201c einen ganzen Raum. Der dreidimensionale K\u00f6rper wird in seiner zweidimensionalen Umsch\u00f6pfung zur \u201eHaut\u201c des Betrachters. Es ist der K\u00f6rper, der umf\u00e4ngt. Damit stellen sich die Rezipienten selbst in einen medialen Erfahrungsraum, der das eigene Selbst zum \u201eObjekt\u201c vor dem \u201eObjekt\u201c werden l\u00e4sst, das \u201eSubjekt\u201c vor dem \u201eSubjekt\u201c. \u201eeccehomo\u201c kann wie eine Beschw\u00f6rungsformel gelesen werden, gerade auch im Menschen eine Aufhebung herk\u00f6mmlicher Kategorien zu versuchen.<\/p>\n<p>Brigitte Niedermair (Meran, 1971) ist seit \u00fcber zwanzig Jahren als Fotografin t\u00e4tig und alterniert zwischen k\u00fcnstlerischer Arbeit und Modefotografie. Die Erfahrungen, die sie in beiden Bereichen gesammelt hat, erm\u00f6glichten ihr eine einheitliche k\u00fcnstlerische Sprache zu entwickeln, die ihr auf internationaler Ebene Erfolg verleihen. Seit den neunziger Jahren erforscht sie mit gro\u00dfem ethischen Engagement und Feingef\u00fchl das Thema der Identit\u00e4t und den K\u00f6rper der Frau. In j\u00fcngster Zeit verfolgt sie in ihrer k\u00fcnstlerischen Arbeit eine konzeptionelle Richtung. Ihr Werk entwickelte sich auch aus einer konstanten Zeit-, Erinnerungs- und Reflexionsforschung der Sprachen der Kunstgeschichte selbst, wie im Falle der Neuinterpretation der Malerei von Giorgio Morandi, der Werke von Sol LeWitt oder der Spuren gro\u00dfer bedeutender K\u00fcnstler der Vergangenheit in der Immaterialit\u00e4t der digitalen Welt. Ihre von starker Pers\u00f6nlichkeit gepr\u00e4gte k\u00fcnstlerische Sprache kann zu den intensivsten und eigenst\u00e4ndigsten Ausdrucksformen der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Fotografie gez\u00e4hlt Durch seine Politik f\u00f6rderte er eine prosperierende Entwicklung, die Tirol zu einem der begehrtesten L\u00e4nder im Herzen Europas machte. Bergbau und Handel brachten den wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ausstellung geht den zentralen Themen im Leben des Habsburgers nach. Beleuchtet wird die Erinnerungskultur, die aus dem Mythos und der Sagenwelt sch\u00f6pft. Zudem wird von den kriegerischen Ereignissen in Appenzell erz\u00e4hlt, als dem jungen Herzog sein Besitz streitig gemacht wurde. Folgenschwer erwies sich die Schutzfunktion Friedrichs \u00fcber den Gegenpapst Johannes XXIII., die ihm die Acht des K\u00f6nigs einbrachte und in vor\u00fcbergehend \u201emit leeren Taschen\u201c dastehen lie\u00df. Friedrich verlegte seine Residenz von Meran nach Innsbruck, gr\u00fcndete den Hof unter den B\u00fcrgern, stellte sich vehement gegen den ihn bek\u00e4mpfenden Adel. So zwang er den m\u00e4chtigen Heinrich von Rottenburg in die Knie, lie\u00df mit Kanonen die den Starkenbergern geh\u00f6rende Burg Greifenstein belagern und mischte sich in das weltliche Gesch\u00e4ft der Bisch\u00f6fe ein. Eine innige Freundschaft verband ihn mit Hans Wilhelm von M\u00fclinen, was sich nicht zuletzt in Vertr\u00e4gen und Bildstiftungen niederschlug. F\u00fcr die bildende Kunst hatte Friedrich nicht viel \u00fcbrig, wenngleich es zu seiner Zeit zu einem ersten H\u00f6hepunkt in der Entwicklung der Gotik kam. Tirol konnte seinen Herzog auch nach seinem Tod nicht vergessen. Die Erinnerungskultur des Barock und vor allem das an mittelalterlichen Themen haftende 19. Jahrhundert erwecken das Interesse an der historischen Gestalt. Nikodem, der 1870 in Trient geboren wurde und f\u00fcnfzehn Jahre seines Lebens in Meran verbrachte, z\u00e4hlt zu den bedeutendsten K\u00fcnstlern der fr\u00fchen Moderne in Tirol. Die Faszination f\u00fcr das Licht und f\u00fcr Lichteffekte, das Spiel mit Formen und Farben charakterisieren seine Malerei.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ausstellung zeigt anhand von Landschaftsbildern und seinen von Menschen inspirierten Arbeiten einen repr\u00e4sentativen Querschnitt durch sein malerisches Oeuvre. Mit Ausnahme einiger weniger Werke stammt der Gro\u00dfteil aus Privatbesitz und wird zum Teil erstmals der \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich gemacht. Die Schau umspannt beinahe alle Schaffensperioden des K\u00fcnstlers. Sie beginnt mit seinen sezessionistisch anmutenden Werken aus seiner Meraner und seiner fr\u00fchen Innsbrucker Zeit und reicht bis zu den abstrakten Kleinformaten seiner Sp\u00e4tzeit. Auch das nicht nur f\u00fcr Artur Nikodem, sondern f\u00fcr die gesamte bildende Kunst Tirols wichtige Ereignis, die gro\u00dfe Wanderausstellung in Deutschland in den Jahren 1925\/26, ist Teil der Ausstellung auf Schloss Tirol. Und er ist, sei es als Zeichner, sei es als Bildhauer, ein K\u00fcnstler der Hybridit\u00e4t. Beide Begriffe stehen gegenw\u00e4rtig im Zentrum heftig gef\u00fchrter Debatten. Radikale Positionen des Posthumanismus streben unter dem Schlagwort \u201eCyborgisierung des Menschen\u201c eine \u00dcberwindung des als mangelhaft empfundenen K\u00f6rpers an und sehen darin den n\u00e4chsten gro\u00dfen Zivilisationssprung, Kritiker sehen in einem fortschreitend entk\u00f6rperten Selbst den K\u00f6rper selbst verschwinden.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00fch, fast prophetisch fr\u00fch, hat Peter Senoner sich mit der Digitalmoderne und den Biotechniken auseinandergesetzt. Als er seine hybriden K\u00f6rperskulpturen zu Anfang des neuen Jahrtausends erstmals \u00f6ffentlich ausstellte, wirkten sie noch wie Science-Fiction-Utopien, heute ist offensichtlich, dass es ebenso Gesch\u00f6pfe der Fiktion wie der gesellschaftlichen Wirklichkeit sind.<\/p>\n<p>Am Anfang von Peter Senoners k\u00fcnstlerischer Entwicklung stehen jedoch nicht diese Diskurse, sondern eine geradezu manische Obsession f\u00fcr den menschlichen K\u00f6rper. Umgesetzt hat er diese Manie zun\u00e4chst im Medium Zeichnung. Anthony Gormley, einer seiner Lehrer an der M\u00fcnchner Akademie, verschaffte ihm ein eigenes Modell, mit dem er lebensgro\u00dfe Aktzeichnungen auf Papier anfertigte. Zugleich bastelte er Maschinenobjekte, die seiner zweiten Obsession \u2013 der f\u00fcr Bewegung und automatisierte Abl\u00e4ufe \u2013 Ausdruck verliehen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Verschmelzung beider Obsessionen gelang im Material Holz und paradoxerweise an einem Ort, der am wenigsten verd\u00e4chtig ist f\u00fcr die altehrw\u00fcrdige Kunst der Holzbildhauerei und deren schwerbl\u00fctige Verbundenheit mit der Heimaterde: in New York. In der Welthauptstadt der internationalen Kunst findet er zum Material aus der v\u00e4terlichen Werkstatt zur\u00fcck. Die Gr\u00fcnde waren alles andere als nostalgischer Natur. Holz war in der von Kunststoffen aller Art dominierten Kunstwelt ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, es war authentisch und es erlaubte die formale Pr\u00e4zision, die auch seinen peniblen Zeichnungen eigen ist.<\/p>\n<p>Die Attribute seiner Mensch\/Maschine-Figurationen, ihre technoiden Verwachsungen am Kopf \u2013 alle seine Skulpturen sind Kopf-K\u00f6rper, s\u00e4mtliche weiteren K\u00f6rperfunktionen scheinen wie bei den Cyborgs \u00fcberfl\u00fcssig zu sein \u2013, ihre Geschlechtslosigkeit, ihre radikale Verweigerung humanistisch gepr\u00e4gter Identit\u00e4t antizipieren k\u00fcnftige Wirklichkeiten, die in den Life- und Cyberscience bereits Gestalt annehmen. Der m\u00e4chtige COR, der auf einem f\u00fcnf Meter hohen Drahtseil-Sockel vor Schloss Tirol auf Meran hinabschaut, verharrt in einem Schwellenstadium zwischen humanem und posthumanem K\u00f6rper, einem Kippmoment des Nicht-Mehr und des Noch-Nicht.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Die Zeichnungen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hybridit\u00e4t und seine \u00e4ltere Schwester, die Metamorphose, sind auch das grundlegende k\u00fcnstlerische Konzept von Peter Senoners Zeichnungen. Die sieben gro\u00dfformatigen (250 x 125 cm) Arbeiten im Bergfried von Schloss Tirol sind, wie schon der Titel \u201eBotanicalirious\u201c (eine Kombination aus Botanical und Delirious) ausdr\u00fcckt, Hybride in sich. Im Unterschied zu seinen Skulpturen verschmilzt er auf den Zeichnungen nicht Mensch und Maschine, sondern l\u00e4sst Mensch und Pflanze verwachsen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Ausgangspunkt sind klassische Aktzeichnungen. Wie in seiner Studienzeit zeichnet er ganz akademisch am Modell, danach geht er ins Freie und sucht eine Pflanze, einen Zweig oder eine Bl\u00fcte, die er in virtuoser Detailtreue mit dem gezeichneten K\u00f6rper kombiniert. Die K\u00f6rper beherrschen den Bildraum, doch die akribisch ausgef\u00fchrten Umrisslinien tendieren zur Formaufl\u00f6sung. Sie \u00fcberschneiden, mischen, \u00fcberlagern, \u00fcberzeichnen sich gegenseitig zu K\u00f6rpern \u00fcber K\u00f6rper \u00fcber K\u00f6rper. Sie schweben in einer Welt ohne Perspektive, werden von sich selbst \u00fcberflutete Gestalten, die in einem best\u00e4ndigen Taumel ihre Gestalt \u00e4ndern. Es gibt kein Oben und kein Unten, die K\u00f6rper springen hin und her, verweigern sich jeder Statik.<br \/>\nUn\u00fcbersehbar spiegeln diese analogen K\u00f6rper den digitalen Strudel virtueller Welten. Hinter jedem Bild tut sich wie auf einem Bildschirm ein weiteres Bild auf. Wie ein Interface verbinden die Zeichnungen das ortlose digitale Orientierungsgef\u00fchl, in dem keine Setzung abschlie\u00dfend ist und Inhalte fortw\u00e4hrend den Kontext wechseln, mit der physischen Welt.<\/p>\n<p>Im Kontrast zur polymorphen K\u00f6rperwelt, die mit einem Bein im Virtuellen steht, beharrt die Pflanzenwelt auf ihrer sinnlich klaren Pr\u00e4senz. Es ist dieses Changieren zwischen materieller Dichte, Leerzonen \u2013 ganze Partien bleiben unbearbeitet \u2013 zeichnerisch scharf notierten Details und malerisch fl\u00fcchtiger Lavierung, das den Bildern ihre Spannung verleiht.<\/p>\n<p>Formal handelt es sich um Zeichnungen \u2013 Senoner verwendet nichts au\u00dfer Graphit \u2013, doch auch als Zeichner n\u00e4hert er sich der Bildhauerei an. Ganze Partien der Bildoberfl\u00e4che sind mit Schleifpapier behandelt, was sie rau, schrundig und von turbulenter Materialit\u00e4t macht. Hybridit\u00e4t schl\u00e4gt auch in der bildhauerischen Methode des Zeichnens durch.
