Ertz=Hau\u00df Oesterreich kommen [&#8230;], Taf. zu S. 135.<\/p>\n<p>Laut Beschreibung besa\u00df Kollmann ein \u201ewohl=erbautes F\u00fcrstliches Zoll=Haus [\u2026] sonsten aber wenig H\u00e4user [\u2026] ein einschichtes aber gutes Wirths=Haus Startz genannt.\u201c Ersichtlich sind au\u00dferdem die gro\u00dfe Dreifaltigkeits-Kirche neben dem zinnengeschm\u00fcckten Zollhaus und die kleine St. Leonhard-Kapelle am begrenzten Kuntersweg, im Hintergrund steigt der Weg auf den Ritten an.<\/p>\n<p>1218 wird erstmals der Ort \u201eRittenfuoz\u201c (am Fu\u00dfe des Rittens) im Eisacktal genannt; seit 1355 ist der Ort als Kollmann bekannt. Von hier aus stieg man \u2013 vom Brenner durch das Eisacktal kommend \u2013 \u00fcber Saubach und Rotwand auf den Ritten, um \u00fcber Unterinn und Rentsch wieder nach Bozen abzusteigen. Zur Bew\u00e4ltigung des Aufstiegs standen in Kollmann Pferde und Ochsen als Vorspann bereit.<\/p>\n<p>Die enge Schlucht des Eisack zwischen Kollmann und Bozen war bis zur Anlage des Kuntersweges um etwa 1307 nicht passierbar. Der Kuntersweg war zollpflichtig, die Einnahmen dienten seiner Erhaltung. Ab 1470 unterstanden Weg und Zoll der landesf\u00fcrstlichen Verwaltung. 1483 wurde das neue Zollhaus in Kollmann fertig gebaut, ab Ende des 16. Jh. war hier auch die Poststation untergebracht. Der starke Reiseverkehr bedeutete nicht nur Einnahmen.
