Jh. fast alle der von ihnen verkauften Produkte \u2013 Salben, Pillen, Tees und Tinkturen \u2013 selbst her. Eine sichere Lagerung und korrekte Identifizierung der verwendeten Rohstoffe waren wichtig, da bei vielen von ihnen die Art der Anwendung oder minimale Mengen den Unterschied zwischen heilender und t\u00f6dlicher Wirkung ausmachten. Die Drogen wurden in Keramik-, Glas- und Holzgef\u00e4\u00dfen aufbewahrt und zumeist in lateinischer Sprache beschriftet. Verwendet wurden pflanzliche, tierische und mineralische Bestandteile, u.\u00a0a. in Form von \u201eFolia\u201c (Bl\u00e4tter), \u201eS[emen]\u201c (Samen), \u201eRad[ix]\u201c (Wurzeln) und \u201ePul[vis]\u201c (Pulver).<\/p>\n<p>Zu den \u00e4ltesten bekannten Apothekerdosen aus Holz geh\u00f6ren mehrere Exemplare aus der Adlerapotheke (heute Mohrenapotheke) in Krems aus der Zeit um 1500, die zus\u00e4tzlich zur Beschriftung mit gro\u00dfen Wappen geziert sind.<\/p>\n<p>Die Apothekendose in der Vitrine enthielt laut Aufschrift \u201eSe. cormus\u201c und ist mit einem schwarzen Wappenadler bemalt. Es handelt sich um eine Nachahmung des 20. Jh. nach dem Vorbild der Kremser Dosen. Die lateinische Bezeichnung ergibt jedoch keinen Sinn, das Wappen wurde aus dem Codex Manesse (14.
