La modifica in una cappella signorile a due piani segu\u00ec all\u2019epoca del principe territoriale Mainardo II (1285 ca.). Le tradizionali commemorazioni annuali e la celebrazione della S. Messa furono mantenute durante i secoli. Degni di nota sono, tra l\u2019altro, la pi\u00f9 antica finestrella gotica istoriata del Tirolo, le pitture parietali risalenti alla stessa epoca e i bassorilievi marmorei romanici dell\u2019arco di trionfo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gruppo della Crocifissione,<\/strong>\u00a01330 ca. Entrati nella cappella non si pu\u00f2 non notare il monumentale gruppo della Crocifissione. Durante l\u2019ultimo restauro del 2002 vennero rinvenute nelle teste delle due figure laterali, Maria e S. Giovanni, due monete risalenti al tardo XIII secolo, un decenario e un berner meranese: piccoli ex voto dello scultore come ringraziamento per la buona riuscita della sua opera. Una leggenda racconta che alla morte di ogni principe territoriale tirolese si staccasse un pezzo della croce. Durante i secoli di decadenza il \u201ccrocifisso miracoloso\u201d fu venerato dai pellegrini e dai visitatori della cappella come reliquia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style
